Biography

Michael Porter, also known as Mikey ViP, is a professional DJ based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally hailing from Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Mikey relocated to Las Vegas in 1994 and subsequently settled in Henderson the following year. He quickly became involved in the local community, joining the Boys & Girls Club and graduating from Basic High School in the class of ’98.

Mikey ViP’s passion for music has always been evident. He began his career DJing a diverse range of events, including weddings, all-age parties, school dances, house parties, and events at the Boys & Girls Club and teen centers. His talent and dedication soon caught the attention of the local music scene.

In 2010, Mikey was approached to bring his skills to Mesquite, NV, where he revitalized an old county bar, now known as Seasons Ultra Lounge, located inside the Eureka Resort and Casino. He held a remarkable five-year residency, breathing new life into the venue and establishing himself as a prominent DJ in the area.

Mikey ViP is not only a dedicated professional but also a devoted family man and resident of Henderson. He continues to DJ events throughout the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. His portfolio includes a wide array of engagements, such as weddings, corporate events, holiday and birthday parties. He has performed at renowned establishments like Border Grill inside Mandalay Bay, T-Mobile for Vegas Golden Knights games, watch parties at the Henderson Pavilion (now Dollar Loan Center), and the monthly “Last Fridays” on Water Street in Downtown Henderson.
